Homemade facemasks for healthy skin

Skincare is really soo important and taking care of your skin on a daily basis should be an integral part of your day. However, this can also be expensive if you use products available in the market to treat your skin. But little did we know that using  ingredients available in are kitchen are super  beneficial and can be used to treat our skin.

Follow these simple,easy to make and effective recipes to achieve healthier skin in no time.

 

1) Green Tea face mask

Green tea is not only good for your body but also for the face. It is the best source of antioxidants and helps improve your skin’s health and texture over time. For those of you dealing with acne, this face mask with help you fight them over time.

What you need:

Green tea

Curd/milk

Honey

Method:

Mix all the three ingredients together and apply on your face and neck. Leave until dry and then rinse off with water.

2) Strawberry face mask

Don’t we all absolutely love this fruit? They are rich in vitamin c and can be used as face masks to fight oily skin. Since they are acidic in nature, they can also be used to remove any sun burns or sun tans.

What you need:

Strawberries

Lemon

Honey

Method:

Mix 1/4 lemon with honey, make it into a paste and apply on your face. Then, crush 2 strawberries and scrub on your face. Scrub thoroughly for 3-4 minutes and then leave it on your face for 10 minutes.

 

3) Orange peel face mask

Oranges are not only used to treat acne prone skin but can also leave you with fresh baby soft skin

What you need:

Dried orange peels

Curd/milk

Honey

Method:

Keep the orange peels in contact with sun until completely dried. Then, put in the mixer and grind well until powdered. Mix orange powder with curd and honey and apply on your face and neck. Leave until dry and rinse off with warm water. You will notice a visible difference. Also, do not forget to keep the remaining powder stored in a airtight container.

 

4) Chickpea flour (Besan) face mask

Besan is known to give you a glowing skin. Apart from that, it can also help you fight acne and acne scars.

What you need:

Bean

Turmeric

Curd/ milk

Method:

Mix besan with curd/milk and form a paste. Then, add a teaspoon of turmeric in the mixture and mix well. Apply on your face and neck and leave until dry. Then, rinse off with water.

 

5) Oatmeal Face mask

This face pack works for dry and irritated skin. Apart from that, it can also be used as a scrub for face and body.

What you need:

Regular Oats

Curd/milk

Honey

Method:

Mix all the ingredients together and scrub on your face/body for 2-3 minutes. Leave it on for a min and rinse with water.

 

6)Egg white face mask

This is best to tighten your skin.You will see a visible difference in your skin. This will be great to apply before a party or a function.

What you need:

Egg white

Lemon

Method:

Whisk egg whites and lemon thoroughly and apply on face. Leave it on until you feel your skin completely block and dry. Rinse with water.

 

7) Cucumber face mask

Cucumber is best to sooth your skin. This face mask can be used regularly during hot summers. It will help the skin to cool down and cure any redness or irritation

What you need:

Cucumber

Curd

Method:

Grate cucumber and mix in curd and make a thick paste. Refrigerate it for few hours and then apply on your face. Leave this on for 10-15 minutes and then rinse with water.

 

8) Vinegar face mask

Apple cider vinegar can be used in multiple ways for your skin. It prevents acne and pimples,heals sunburn and can also be used as a toner. The only thing you need to keep in mind is to use the unfiltered, unpastered, natural apple cider vinegar.

What you need:

Apple cider vinegar

Method:

If  you want to treat your acne, mix apple cider vinegar with water in a bowl. Soak the cotton ball in the solution and apply it on the affected area. Leave if for 10 minutes  and then wash off with water. Repeat this step 3-4 times in a day.

 

If your skin is allergic to curd, use milk instead.
